Occidental College x Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra Concert Photography
What an honor to photograph the collaboration concert between Occidental College and Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra! The group was conducted by Chris Kim who is on staff for both PYSO and Occidental College.
This concert was the combination of two talented forces you see in Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra and Occidental College. They blended their sounds together to create a group of 150 wind, string, and synth performers. So impressive how talented these individuals are and so many of them I know will continue to progress in their artistic achievements and careers.
The performance was finished off with a song written by an Occidental College alum, Jake Szwarcewicz who created a piece that blended classical symphonic notes with modern synth-pop beats. The result was a truly enrapturing performance, blending unique beats and sounds. It was a modern twist to classical music, and the audience definitely enjoyed hearing the original piece composed by Jake.
Art and music truly conveys words that are beyond comprehension. I love the emotion that music provokes and conveys. Concert photography is a unique look into a niche and beautiful world, that I am always so grateful to capture. To learn more about PYSO and attend performances, please visit their website.
