Kuzu Studio is a small home studio based out of Los Angeles, featuring functional products with impeccable form and design. I digitized the maker’s mark logo in Illustrator and converted it to red, to reflect the tradition of Chinese name stamps, as well as photographed the process and products.

Rachel of Kuzu handmakes each piece from start to finish, using a process calling wheel throwing, in which a slab of clay is centered, then formed on a potter’s wheel. It then goes through an extensive firing and glazing process before reaching its final form - life as a vase, mug, bowl, planter, etc.
